Clarity, from the start.
Visible settings, readable positions and plain language. You should be able to understand what you are looking at.
Astrology, made approachable.
Self-awareness, made personal.
Self Astrologer began with a simple idea: reading a chart should help you ask better questions about your own life.
We bring an animated sky, birth-chart tools and clear learning resources into one space. You can inspect a position, move through time, explore a traditional meaning and return to what you actually notice in your experience.
Created by Amitesh Anand, this project is being built openly. Its purpose is curiosity and self-awareness, with room for uncertainty, disagreement and your own choices.
Visible settings, readable positions and plain language. You should be able to understand what you are looking at.
Free tools and beginner guides make the first step approachable. The complete free Foundations short course and further course previews offer a path to keep learning.
Explore Tropical and Lahiri sidereal settings, with the conventions named so you can compare thoughtfully.
Your observations matter. A chart is a reflective lens, and your life remains yours to interpret and shape.
What did you notice in your chart? What question stayed with you? Capture your experience here.
There are no verified public learner stories yet. This draft stays on your device; saving it does not publish or send it.
Have a question about the project or an idea for a feature? Open an issue on GitHub ↗. GitHub issue visibility follows the repository’s access settings; leave birth details and private reflections out of your report.
The chart tools calculate in your browser. Birth details use this tab’s session unless you choose “Remember birth details on this device.” Previously saved profiles remain available; uncheck Remember and calculate to remove one. Journal entries, course notes, lesson progress and saved story drafts use this browser’s local storage. Neither storage option is encrypted: anyone using your browser profile may read it. Avoid saving personal details on shared devices. Browsers may restore tab sessions. Person B’s compatibility inputs are not saved. This app does not send these details to an AI provider.
Optional cloud accounts use Google sign-in through Supabase when the account service is enabled. Choosing Save chart uploads that chart’s birth details and snapshot to your private MongoDB-backed history. Google supplies basic identity information; we do not request Gmail inbox access. Guest journals and learning notes are not uploaded automatically. Translation uses local interface files and sends no personal inputs to a translation service.
Clear saved data below clears browser data only. It does not delete cloud history: delete saved charts from My account when cloud accounts are available. Account-wide deletion is not available in this release.
Hosting providers may process ordinary request information. Opening GitHub or a social sharing service takes you to that service and its privacy terms. Clearing the saved data below removes this app’s local entries and this tab’s session entries. Close other app tabs to discard their loaded or session data. This cannot erase downloaded files or browser backups.
Use this app for learning and personal reflection. Astrological interpretations are traditional symbolic ideas, not established scientific measurements of personality or predictions. Birth time, location and historical UTC offset affect the calculated result.
The free Foundations short course includes all 12 lessons. Seven further courses offer starter lessons and planned outlines. Paid enrollment, those remaining full courses and an AI question-answering backend are not connected. Prices shown for those previews are planned prices. See Method & source for calculation conventions and open-source licensing.
